What the job actually looks like.
Work all year
Exteriors in summer, interiors and snow in winter. We keep people busy through the slow months instead of laying them off in November.
Small crew
You work alongside the owner, not through three layers of management. If something needs saying on a job, you say it to the person who decides.
Home every night
Everything is inside about thirty miles. No travel weeks, no living out of a motel.
Real variety
You won't hang the same door for six months. Most weeks touch three or four different trades.
Who we're looking for.
Carpenter / Handyman
Pay depends on experience Full-time, year-roundThe whole range of what we do — repairs, trim, doors and windows, decks, siding. You run your own jobs and talk to the homeowner yourself.
- 3+ years in the trades or equivalent hands-on experience
- Your own hand tools
- Comfortable pricing small change-orders on the spot
Helper / Laborer
Pay depends on experience Full-time · we will train youNo experience needed. You show up, work hard, and learn the trade from people who have been doing it for years. This is how most of our carpenters started.
- Willing to work outside through a Maine winter
- Able to lift 50 lbs and get up a ladder
- On time, every time — that is most of it
Cleaner
Pay depends on experience Full-time or part-timeDeep cleans, move-outs, post-construction cleanup, and exterior washing. Mostly day work, mostly local, home every night.
- An eye for the corners other people skip
- Reliable transportation
- Experience helps, but it is not required
Yard & Seasonal Crew
Pay depends on experience Seasonal · spring through fallMowing, cleanups, brush and leaf work, and snow in the winter if you want to stay on. Good hours in season, and a way into the year-round crew.
- Fine with early starts and hot afternoons
- Able to run a mower and a trimmer, or willing to learn
- Valid driver's license preferred
