Who we are

Home & Yard Service LLC is a home and property services company based in Saco, Maine, serving Southern Maine. You can reach us any time at (207) 770-7722 or info@homeyard.org.

What we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you use our booking form, quote form, or chat assistant, that may include:

• Your name and phone number.
• Your email address, if you provide one.
• Details about the job you need done, including any description or photo you attach.
• The date and arrival window you select when booking a visit.

We do not ask for or collect sensitive information such as payment card numbers or government IDs through this website.

If you apply for a job or write to us as a trade

Our careers and partners forms collect a little more, because they have to:

• From applicants: your contact details, the town you live in, your experience and availability, the rate you're looking for, and a resume if you choose to attach one.
• From trades and subcontractors: your business name and contact details, your trade, your license number, the towns you cover, and any certificate of insurance you send.

We use it only to consider you for work and to get in touch about it. We do not share applications outside the company, and we do not use them for marketing. If you'd rather we deleted your application, call or email and we will — there's no account to close and nothing to argue about.

Please don't send us a Social Security number, a date of birth, a copy of a license or passport, or anything similar through this website. If we hire you, the paperwork that legally needs those is handled properly, in person or through our payroll provider — never through a web form.

How we use it

We use your information only to run our business and serve you — specifically to:

• Contact you back about your request.
• Schedule and carry out the visit or work you asked for.
• Prepare and send you a quote.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for unrelated advertising.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers that help us operate this website, and only as needed to deliver the service:

• Our website host (Netlify) stores the site and receives form submissions on our behalf.
• Our chat assistant is powered by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). If you type a message into the chat, that message is sent to them to generate a reply. Please don't share sensitive details in the chat — just call or use the form for that.
• Map tiles on our service-area page are loaded from a third-party map provider, which may see your IP address as part of loading the map.
• Google Analytics receives anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, device type, approximate region) so we can see how the site is doing. See "Cookies & analytics" below.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the site works well. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data in aggregate; it does not tell us who you are. We do not use advertising cookies or sell any data.

If you prefer not to be counted, you can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on — the site works exactly the same either way.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and contact details for as long as needed to serve you and to keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You're always in control. To see what information we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted, just call (207) 770-7722 or email info@homeyard.org and we'll take care of it.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging home and property services. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update how we handle information, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
